About the Championship/Consolation rounds: We had originally intended using all match results for the entire season to determine the league winner. However, that doesn't work when one group played one more match than the other group. So, here is how it will work:

For purposes of determining the league winner you must be in the Championship group to be in contention. Only the matches played against other teams in the Championship group will be used. Every team in the Championship group already has played two of the other teams in the group. Those match results will be combined with the results of the final three matches. There are six teams in the Championship group. When it is all said and done, each team in that group will have played each other team once, for a total of five matches. Those are the five matches that will be used.

How did we determine who was home and who was visiting? We looked at each pairing to see which team had played a lower percentage of home matches to that point. That team became the home team for the match. This accomplishes our goal of balancing home and visiting matches as specified at the beginning of the season.

Home courts for the first weekend must be secured by this evening, Monday, Oct. 22, and the opposing captain notified. Three out of the six matches on the first weekend have already been scheduled. For the last two matches, courts must be secured by this coming Friday evening, Oct. 26. If it is not possible to meet these deadlines, then the matches must be scheduled with the approval of the visiting captain.
